At Monan Gozzett LLP, we are proud to represent clients across a wide range of complex and sensitive legal matters. While we handle a high volume of work across all departments, we wanted to take a moment to share a few recent case highlights involving Managing Partner Neal Gozzett, both in collaboration with colleagues and as lead solicitor. These cases help reflect the depth of our expertise in criminal defence, reputational protection, and the level of strategic care we bring to every client we support.

  • Neal Gozzett and Rachel Innes have secured No Further Action for a client accused of causing death by dangerous driving. Initially approached for a second opinion, Neal and Rachel were subsequently instructed to take over conduct of the case and progress matters proactively. Neal obtained the full case file from previous solicitors, initiated immediate engagement with the officer in the case, and devised a clear legal strategy to advance the client’s position. A critical step involved requesting a re-interview so the client could provide a full account and detailed defence having previously been advised to give no comment. Following that interview, Neal and Rachel submitted comprehensive pre-charge representations. After review, police confirmed No Further Action, bringing a swift and decisive conclusion for the client.
  • Neal Gozzett and Harry Salt have secured no further action for a client accused of rape. By undertaking their own evidence-gathering, including a detailed site visit and submitting robust pre-charge representations, they were able to demonstrate that the allegation was not credible or reliable and the investigation was halted. Another strong result for our Pre-Charge Team.
  • Neal Gozzett successfully secured the deletion of an arrest record from the Police National Computer (PNC). His client was a professional individual whose reputation and career were at risk. Through careful preparation, evidential analysis, and lengthy targeted representations, the national police unit agreed to remove the record entirely protecting the client’s professional standing and ensuring future vetting and background checks remain clear.
  • Neal Gozzett secures pre court settlement for a high-profile media client whose home was unlawfully raided by the police. After bringing a civil action against the police for trespass and a breach of Article 8 ECHR, a swift and discreet resolution was achieved after lengthy negotiations ensuring accountability while protecting our client’s privacy and reputation.
