We are pleased to share details of a recent successful outcome in which Neal Gozzett and Harry Salt defended a teacher facing serious allegations before the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
The allegations included assaulting a child and accessing confidential information without authorisation, which our client firmly denied.
We recognised that these accusations, which, if proven, could have had severe consequences on the teacher’s career and reputation, as well as causing significant distress.
We prepared and submitted comprehensive representations to the HCPC, clearly setting out why the allegations could not be substantiated. We addressed each allegation in turn, highlighting the absence of credible supporting evidence and identifying inconsistencies in the factual narrative presented.
Following our submissions, the HCPC carefully reviewed the case.
Ultimately, they determined that there was insufficient evidence to prove any of the alleged offences.
As a result, the case was closed with no case to answer against our client.
