Neal Gozzett and Samuel Manok-Sanoian have successfully secured no further action for an investment banker under investigation for allegedly engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship.

These allegations had serious reputational consequences for our client given that he is a prominent businessman. We maintained a constructive dialogue with the officers investigating the case from the outset to ensure that the matter was swiftly halted before proceeding to the Crown Prosecution Service for a charging decision.

Having forensically reviewed over 500 pages of WhatsApp communications between our client and the Complainant, which did not reveal any evidence to corroborate the Complainant’s allegations, we made persuasive oral and written representations to the police resulting in the investigation being dropped due to insufficient evidence.

Our client has instructed us to make an application to have his record deleted from the Police National Computer (PNC) to ensure his reputation is protected.
