Recently Maria Monan, Senior Partner has been successful in securing a decision of (No Further Action) NFA at the police station investigation stage for a student and community volunteer who was falsely accused of rape while attending his own birthday party.
Upon submitting extensive mitigation, including floor plans and witness statements, to the investigating officer which clearly undermined the complainants account of events, the officer was able to reach the decision not to take the matter any further as there was no realistic prospect of conviction. As a result of the findings, the file did not meet the threshold to be sent to the CPS for review.
Our client can now continue his chosen career path and move forward after a very anxious and stressful few months for both him and his family.
