Neal Gozzett and senior Counsel successfully secure the acquittal of a businessman falsely accused of Sexual Assault. At the commencement of the trial, a legal argument was submitted to the court by the defence, in relation to remarks made by the complainant to the officer in the case on the morning of the trial.

This resulted in a direction by the Judge that further statements should be taken immediately, which led to the CPS reviewing the case due and offering no evidence. The jury was therefore directed to return a verdict of Not Guilty, thus preserving the good character of the client.
