Neal Gozzett was instructed by parents of a student who was studying at a prominent private school in central London, to make representations in relation to their son sitting A Level examinations.

The Headmaster and senior staff at the school were preventing their son from sitting a particular A Level at the independent school (without any communication and less than two weeks prior to the exam date), as they were concerned he would not pass, but after representations from Mr. Gozzett, the school changed their decision and let him sit the exam.

This case raised many issues involving contract and also regulatory legal issues in the Education sector.
